Arriving at Budapest
The ”Ferihegy 2” Airport is located 10-12 km from the Budapest city center. International flights landing at terminal 2A (Malev Hungarian Airlines), or terminal 2B (other airlines).

Trip to Debrecen by own
Debrecen is located in the Eastern part of Hungary, 230 km from the capital, Budapest. The journey should be by car or the most confortable possibillity, by train.

By car
The journey by car takes about 150 min, and the toll costs about 2500-3000 HUF (cca. 10-15 EUR) on M3 motorway - then approximately 30 min on Route 35 from motorway end-point, Polgar.

By train
Airport Minibus Service - after landing, you can get a direct minibus service at Arrivals of ”Ferihegy 2” Airport to Budapest ”Keleti” Railway Station (cca. 10 EUR, 20-30 min).

- are also available at the Arrivals of ”Ferihegy 2” Airport to Budapest ”Keleti” Railway Station. The fares may differ substantially (cca. 10-30 EUR, 20-30 min).

The regular InterCity trains
- are frequently departing from Budapest ”Keleti” Railway Station to Debrecen from 7.05 a.m. till 7.05 p.m. in every 1-2 hours. Journey takes 2 hours 40 min. You can have more information about the trains at: www.elvira.hu

Trip to Debrecen by a special shuttle bus + train transfer
We are going to provide you a special shuttle bus and train transfer service on 1 September 2004 concerning the transfer from Budapest “Ferihegy 2” Airport to Debrecen Congress Venue, and back, after the Congress from Debrecen to Budapest “Keleti” Railway Station.

From ”Ferihegy 2” Airport to Budapest ”Keleti” Railway Station there is a special shuttle bus.

We offer our help to buy the train ticket Budapest - Debrecen - Budapest for the participants with a transfer from Debrecen Railway Station to the Congress Venue.

The return train ticket gives a possibility to go back after the Congress to Budapest ”Keleti” Railway Station, if you choose this possibility (60 EUR).

Please, give us the arriving and departing time on “Personal Requests Form” till 10 August.

An ”Information Desk - ISEM” will be set up only on 1 September 2004 at the ”Ferihegy 2” Airport to welcome and pick up you at the Arrivals (terminal 2A - for Malev Hungarian Airlines, or terminal 2B - for other airlines).

Hungary has continental climate. The average temperature during daytime 20-25 °C.

The organizers do not accept any responsibility for injuries or losses sustained by to persons or personal belongings during the conference. Participants are therefore strongly advised to carry appropriate travelling and health insurance.

Electricity supplies and telephone services
The two pin connecting plug (220 V, 50 Hz) is similar to that used in most European countries but it is different from one used in the US, UK, and Japan. Coin and card phones are available both for local and international calls at the hotels, phone boxes and at the Post Offices. For international calls, one should first dial 00, wait for a second tone, then dial the country code followed by the area code and the number to be called.

Name badge
All registered delegates and accompanied persons are required to wear their name badge when attending sessions and social events.

Coffee breaks
Refreshments and coffee will be served in the Trade Exhibition Area during breaks.

Lunch will be served in the restaurant of the Congress Venue.

Trade Exhibitions
Technical and pharmaceutical exhibitions will be open daily throughout the Congress. Tea and coffee will be offered in the exhibition area. For details, potential exhibitors should contact the Congress Secretariat.
